NSI Gold Standard Evacuation Alert Systems (EAS)
There are approximately 22 companies in the UK certified under the BAFE SP207 scheme to provide Evacuation Alert Systems (EAS). Of these, only a select few are qualified to deliver design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance services to the NSI Gold Standard.

We are proud to announce that Group company, Ace Fire and Security, is now among this elite group.
The NSI Gold Standard recognises organisations that have achieved the highest technical benchmarks in the industry and are dedicated to ongoing advancement within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Evacuation Alert Systems (EAS) play a critical role in life safety by enabling the safe evacuation of high-rise buildings during emergencies. When a fire occurs, emergency services can take control of the EAS, allowing them to manage a phased evacuation. This system lets them activate alarms on specific floors, ensuring that residents exit the building in a safe and orderly manner. Such a measured approach minimises panic and congestion, enabling a thoroughly managed and secure evacuation.
Darren Gibbons, head of Fire & Security at andwis, comments, “The lessons learned from the tragedies of Grenfell and 9/11 have underscored the critical need for effective evacuation strategies in high-rise buildings. A phased evacuation approach empowers Fire and Rescue services to ensure a safe exit for everyone inside during a fire.
“As leaders in technical and compliance services, we are thrilled to offer the highest technical standards for Evacuation Alert Systems in buildings throughout the UK. We trust these installations will give residents peace of mind that their safety is a priority.”
