Security Contracts Manager – Major Utilities Client – London/South East

We are seeking a highly capable Security Contracts Manager to oversee a major utilities security framework in the South East of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all projects and service delivery meet the highest technical and safety standards, while acting as the primary interface with our client.

This role requires a hands-on manager who knows what a good installation looks like, can challenge subcontractors when required, and is confident representing the business in client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out technical site surveys and provide clear reports to the client’s design team.
  • Project manage installations from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, challenging standards where necessary.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations across all resources, subcontractors, and employees.
  • Act as the key client interface, attending and contributing to meetings confidently.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance of installations.
  • Support continuous improvement and drive a “get it done” approach to delivery.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electronic security industry.
  • Proven project management experience (installations and service delivery).
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.
  • In-depth understanding of Health & Safety compliance within utilities or critical infrastructure.
  • Confident communicator who can hold their own in client and subcontractor meetings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem solver with a proactive, delivery-focused attitude.
  • Based in the South East of England, with flexibility to travel across client sites.

Mobile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Full-Time) – London & Within M25

As a Mobile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of various client sites within your designated region. You will utilize your expertise in multiple trades to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide range of systems and equipment,
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Work across various trades, including plumbing, carpentry, and general building across many retail and hospitality environments.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and manage your workload effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Planned Preventative Maintenance Manager

This leadership position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of our operations, clients, and service expectations. As PPM Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of preventive maintenance services across our client base, ensuring the highest standards of service quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You will report to The Engineering Director, and the key responsibilities are outlined below. A keen willingness to learn and a positive, proactive attitude are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the company’s PPM department across assigned contracts and client sites.
  • Lead and support technicians and operatives in delivering timely, high-quality maintenance work working alongside the PPM Engineering Field Manager
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are compliant with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and SLAs
  • Use our CRM (Salesforce) platform to manage schedules, documentation, asset records, and performance reporting
  • Coordinate with other departments and clients to minimise disruptions during maintenance works
  • Supervise and liaise with third-party contractors for specialist maintenance services when needed
  • Monitor PPM completion rates, respond to escalations, and implement process improvements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the PPM team, drawing from your operational experience, including conducting performance reviews
  • Act as the first point of contact for client queries related to PPM and asset performance
  • Contribute to audits, compliance reports, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage and oversee the PPM mailbox, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution
  • Draft and review maintenance agreements and renewal documentation
  • Coordinate the processing of new maintenance agreements and renewals
  • Generate RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) for new and renewed agreements
  • Maintain and update the maintenance renewals and agreements tracking spreadsheet
  • Prepare and manage the Kier Battery Tracker to ensure accurate records and compliance
  • Compile and distribute engineer job packs for scheduled works
  • Update and maintain Salesforce with accurate information for new client accounts
  • Monitor and track the software licensing schedule to ensure compliance
  • Review and oversee all PPM remedial quotes prepared by the PPM team
  • Review and monitor PPM reports submitted by engineers following site visits
  • Process and track subcontractor agreements, quotations, and purchase orders (POs)
  • Prepare and distribute the monthly Kier PPM schedule
  • Prepare and distribute the monthly Commercial PPM schedule
  • Compile and update PPM statistics for presentation at weekly team meetings
  • Ensure that engineering resources within PPM, service and small works are efficiently co-ordinated to meet the business needs. This would require regular scheduling meetings between all department heads and ad hoc to prioritise business needs over departmental needs.
  • Hold weekly meetings with the PPM Administration Team, to review maintenance report data, resolve any discrepancies, and discuss ongoing issues concerning engineers or subcontractors, in preparation for the Monday weekly Service & PPM Meetings.

Role Overview

  • Work Location: Custom’s Hertford Office. (Occasional working from home)
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid break. Flexibility will be required to meet client demands.
  • Salary: TBC per annum, subject to a performance review after 3 months.
  • Annual Leave: 24 working days per annum, in addition to statutory holidays, to be scheduled with your line manager and aligned with business needs.
  • Sick Pay: Discretionary
  • Equipment Provided: Company mobile phone (for business use) and a laptop to support you in your role.
  • Expenses: Reimbursable upon submission of a completed claim form with valid receipts.
